FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
SOW A SEED
The church's financial position from the humble beginnings 112 years ago, until now has improved despite high statistics of unemployment, poverty and social as well as economic challenges.
We continue to encourage church members to earnestly learn the theology of stewardship, the essence of giving
Each Baptist congregation manages each own affairs and financial account, however majority of congregations are unable to flourish financially as most have a membership of seniors, pensioners, orphans, child headed families who are dependent on social grants by the government. Meaning there is a heavy dependence on the Convention to assist financially, towards welfare and benovelent needs for our 45 pastors and their dependents, Administrative needs, Charity and Emergency situations.
Some of our financial challenges that we are advancing and praying to WIN on are:
-Stipends for Pastors
-Education assistance for Pastors' dependents
-We have 10 churches that have purchased church plots (land) from the government but do not have money to build church buildings
-Annual retreat for Pastors
-Strategic sessions for church Leadership
-Assisting young pastors who wish to advance their Ministerial and Theological Education
-Cultivating and supporting grassroots projects to curb poverty through gardening and growing vegetables, and possibly selling them.
-HIV/AIDS is still the no.1 killer in South Africa, we want to do Awareness Campaigns and establish remote assistance through local offices.
